Longhorn Beetle Leptura quadrifasciata (Cerambycidae)
![]() |
There are many species of longhorn
beetle and several black and yellow coloured ones. Leptura quadrifasciata
resembles the very common
Strangalia maculata, but is more strikingly marked, with distinctly
orangey-yellow markings that are well separated from one another.
This beetle was photographed at Attingham Park in July 2004. It has also been recorded from the Wyre Forest in Shropshire. |
