EYED LADYBIRD
Anatis ocellata

The Eyed Ladybird is our largest ladybird. Apart from its relatively large size, it is distinct from other ladybirds with white borders around the black spots.

Eyed ladybirds are uncommon in Shropshire. This one was found in the Wyre Forest. SIG Field Meeting - 20 March 2005.
