Tachinid Fly Eurithia anthophila - a parasitic fly

Tachinid flies are parasites on a
range of other insects. This spiky species is one of a genus, Eurithia,
that is quite common in Shropshire. Eurithia anthophila parasitises
various moth larvae. Photographed on the SIG August 2005 field trip to Berrington Pool. |
