Clean rivers and streams
throughout Shropshire often harbour this beautiful damselfly. The male is an
easily identified damselfly, with the dark band across its wing and its
brilliant blue-green metallic coloured body. This one was encountered on the SIG July 2004 field trip to the Stokesay area. There were numbers along the River Onny. |
